For The Readers, Masochists and Erotic Fetish Lovers. Venus in Furs (book and song)

Good morning/afternoon/evening to all of you. For some strange reason i woke up today with the venus in furs violin dancing in my head, and you know a song wont get out of there until you listen to it.. so that's what i did when i got to work. What an amazing song that is, Reed and the rest of the guys were at their prime. Venus in furs was inspired by a book, under the same name.. which was published in 1870 and is one of my favorites.
Here's a little intro to the book.

"First published in 1870, Venus in Furs gained for its author both notoriety and a degree of immortality when the word masochism - derived from his name - entered the psychiatric lexicon. The novel describes the sexual obsessions of Severin von Kusiemski, a European nobleman with the desire "to be the slave of a woman. " Severin finds his ideal of voluptuous cruelty in the merciless Wanda von Dunajew, only to be cured of his masochism by a brutal encounter with Wanda's Greek lover. Not simply a lurid tale of sexual perversion or a Victorian fantasy of antique decadence, Venus in Furs is a passionate and powerful portrayal of one man's struggle to enlighten and instruct himself and his world in the realm of desire. Influential on Freud, Thomas Mann, and Arthur Schnitzler, Venus in Furs remains a classic literary statement on sexual submission and control."

by Leopold Von Sacher-Masoch

and here's the song:

Velvet Underground- Venus In Furs

(reed)
Shiny, shiny, shiny boots of leather
Whiplash girlchild in the dark
Clubs and bells, your servant, dont forsake him
Strike, dear mistress, and cure his heart

Downy sins of streetlight fancies
Chase the costumes she shall wear
Ermine furs adorn the imperious
Severin, severin awaits you there

I am tired, I am weary
I could sleep for a thousand years
A thousand dreams that would awake me
Different colors made of tears

Kiss the boot of shiny, shiny leather
Shiny leather in the dark
Tongue of thongs, the belt that does await you
Strike, dear mistress, and cure his heart

Severin, severin, speak so slightly
Severin, down on your bended knee
Taste the whip, in love not given lightly
Taste the whip, now plead for me

I am tired, I am weary
I could sleep for a thousand years
A thousand dreams that would awake me
Different colors made of tears

Shiny, shiny, shiny boots of leather
Whiplash girlchild in the dark
Severin, your servant comes in bells, please dont forsake him
Strike, dear mistress, and cure his heart

It's all in your head.

Good morning/afternoon/evening to all of you. Lately, or at least in the past week i've been thinking a lot about what i want to be, and how i want it to be. I've had the time to sit and think only about what i consider important, even vital. I started thinking that i had forgotten how to love, how to take care of myself, my family, and a few other people that live in my mind and soul.. or at least i had forgotten the right way to do it. Along with that i had lost all my creativeness, and then i thought about this note that my father gave me probably a year ago, which helped me a lot. If any of you feel this way, i hope this could help you reconsider who is worth your time, how you want to live life, and achieve all your goals, or as i said on my last post, at least think about it for 10 minutes.

There was a very rich man who lived in the city, and one day he decided to pick up his son after school and take him to a lower-class farmers town a couple of hours away from the city to show him how the less fortunate people lived, so he could appreciate all he had and to be thankful for having the opportunity other people could not have. they visited this house and met a family who didn't have much. they lived off what they could harvest and the kids in the family sold milk on the roadside after class to help their parents. At night they would share dinner and talk aboout their day.
That same night, on their way back home the man asked his son what he thought about what he had seen, and he was surprised by the reaction the kid had on what he had seen. The kid told his father that they had expensive cars and clothes, and this people would walk appreciating nature and enjoying pure and clean air. They woke up in a hurry every morning by the sounds of their alarm and rush to the streets to keep up with the city life, while this people woke up to the sounds of nature and the dogs playing in the backyard. He told his dad how impressed he was of watching the whole family sitting on the same table, having dinner, and how united this people were, and automatically realized how much love and caring each of them had for each other.. this and many other things that we probably don't realize sometimes.. so then the kid looked at his dad and told him.. "Thank you for showing me how much we have and how poor we are".
 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just got this as an example of what having real values is (at least mines).. and having that in mind to reconsider what's important and what want for myself. From that point work hard for what i want to achieve in life as a profesional and as a human being. Always be thankful for what you have and stop worrying about what others may have. Concentrate on your goals and achieve them. Be yourself averywhere you go, always remember your values and believe you can do anything you want to do, and be the person you want to be.

Have a nice day.

Introduction Followed By A Series Of Sugestions/Ideas.

Good morning/afternoon/evening to all of you. This is my very first post, and i won't try to impress any of you with a super post like many people do, NOT YET. What i can tell you is that this blog is for all of you that a certain point in life have stopped, looked up in the sky and yelled "What the FUCK is wrong with this world?" (By the Way I apologize for my horrible english, you see, i'm an "alien"). This blog is about sharing, growing as individuals and learning random stuff that will make your brain grow, or at least exercise it for 10 minutes. In this blog you will also feel free to comment anything you want, or not.

Sometimes I feel like i should leave the city for a month or two and just dristract myself and let my soul be free and my exhausted mind rest. I decided i should look for destinations for future trips and then i saw what i was looking for:"Bhutan, the most harmonious destination in the world, land of the dragon, isolated from the outside world".. and i thought i should look up for more information since i don't know too much about it. Located in the Hymalayas between India and Tibet, it is considered to be heaven on earth by many people.
Bhutan, or Druk Yul (Land of the Dragon).

What really literally seduced me is the Takstang Monastery (The Tiger's Nest), Which hangs 700 meters from the valley floor. It is also the place Where Guru Rinpoche, regarded as the secund buddha used to meditate.

I have heard Bhutanese music as well and i find it very intense, exotic and relaxing, and at this point is just what i need. and i just don't want to know about their food, it is always good to leave it as a surprise.

If you're into trveling you should defenitely consider Bhutan as your next destination, or you can go to Paris.

Cheers!
Chila.
